Everything is going great here in the mountains of Momostenango. It was a great week except for Wednesday and Thursday. Jajajajaj my comp and I had stomach problems from something we ate. It was a rough 2 days jajajaj. But now we are doing okay. Other than those 2 days of roughness, we had exito in the work. We have investigator families who are progressing right now. They are the familias Baten and familia Pu Tojin. They are positive families and they are learning a lot. I am also learning a lot from them as they ask questions. I love when they ask questions because it tells us that they are paying attention and that the can speak sapnish. Sometimes we start teaching people who at first spoke really good spanish but then end up telling us that they don't understand spanish because they can only speak quiche. Jajajaj it is a struggle but I am learning a little bit of quiche to be able to communicate a little bit more with them. 

Hey I am really happy to hear about the blessing of Kate. Yeah I know that Kate is special. Yesterday I was looking at the pictures that yall sent me of her and I smiled at each photo. She is so little and so beautiful. I am glad to be her Uncle Billy.

And of course I am gonna come back to Guatemala. I am gonna come back as a normal person to be able to go and pasear jajajaj. Everyone needs to be able to pasear de vez en cuando jajajaj. Well I hope that all is well with yall back in the state of Texas. I am loving it here in Guatemala. I really really wanna spend Christmas here in the mountains of Panca. There are so many members and investigators whom I have come to love as family. We'll see what the Lord says. If He leaves me, awesome! If He takes me out, awesome! I'll do whatever and go wherever He wants me. I love and miss yall!!!

I am doing super great! I am glad to be able to hear from you. Josefine always feeds us and takes care of us. She has 2 children, Brandon and Maite. I love that family so much. She is a great friend. And yeah I know mother, next month we get too chat again! I can't wait. And tell the members that I said "Thank you!" I am glad to have those things coming my way. Well as of right now, I can't think of anything that I want for Christmas. I will take care of myself and I always take care of my comp. Yall are always in my prayer. I love yall!

The pictures are really cool. And jajajaj all I have eaten the past week is tamales. Everyone is feeding us that and a lot of caliente. That is a punch made of coconut, pineapple, apple, and many other fruits. It is really good! But hey I will talk to you next week. I am out of time. I love you!!!

Hola! Pues yo estoy super calidad! Aquí estoy disfrutando las montañas y polvo de Momostenango. Mi área es super calidad! Me gusta todo de allí. Y jajajaj, Elkhart también es una aldea. Pero por lo menos tienen carros. El weather esta bien para ahora. No hay mucho calor y tampoco hay mucho frió. Mi área es de todo. En algunas partes ay montañas super grandes y en otras partes ay subidas que no son tan difíciles como esas de las montañas. Y si recibí la foto de Eli. Jajajaj el es un cuate. Y calidad que el va a ir con nuestro troop a Philmont. Pues, yo voy a necesitar tiempo para llegar a la decisión si quiero ir o no. Como Philmont es super chilero y me gustaría ir pero no quiero a la misma vez. Le voy a contestar esa respuesta en Diciembre. Esta bien? Si Andres y Antonio están corriendo mucho, esas montañas de Philmont no les va a dar problemas. Y pues yo ya estoy acostumbrado a esas montañas. Camino es sus caminos cada día.Pero necesito tiempo para pensar en esto. Mi semana fue super calidad. Hicimos muchas visitas con miembros. Esa lecciones fueron super buenas. Los miembros están super animados ahorita. Especialmente los jóvenes que van a la misión entre unos años. Y también prestamos servicio con un hermano y fue super calidad. Fuimos a su casa para rajar leña y también cargar la. Esa leñas si pesaba mucho!!! Yo estaba cargando mucha leña! Y para subir una montaña con eso es difícil pero lo hice. Antes de hacerlo, hice una oración. Jajajaj Jackson esta bien. El siempre esta allí a nuestro lado para ayudarnos con los otros perros que son malas ondas. El ya tiene 10 años de estar saliendo con los misioneros. Ya es viejo pero nunca ha perdido una pelea contra otro perro. El ya tiene experiencia. Mi compañero tiene cambios. El se va mañana. Entonce el próximo Lunes les escribo para decir que es mi nuevo compañero. Hey gracias por las camisas y pantalones. Si me van a gustar. Mama, dile a las hermanas que yo digo gracias!!! Estoy super agradecido por el apoyo que me dan. Y ojala que disfrute su viaje a Mexico. Pues me alegro a saber que todo está saliendo bien por allá en Texas. Y dile a Andy que el es pilas! Dear family, 

I am super glad to be able to email you again on this great Monday. Well it is raining here in Momos. It has been raining all day. But I am not gonna complain because it gets rid of the dust that gets kicked up when fletes pass by. So that is good. I know that on Saturday was Alex's birthday. I knew that he would either go to El Toro, Pizza Hut, or our house for fajitas. Jajajaj he likes to keep it simple. El Toros is always the best place to go for a birthday. Oh before I forget, mother can you send me the recipe for mole. A sister here wants to attempt to make it. I love mole! Jajajaj I haven't eaten mole in 15 months. That is gonna be the first thing that I am gonna want to eat when I get back home. It is super good! And wow, Andy likes going to dances now. And jajajaj Tony went to Six Flags?!?! He is lucky that we went there right before I left because there he learned that those rides are for the debil. I am glad to know that they are doing well. I am also glad to know that the family is doing well. And yeah we will see if Tony is taller than me when I get back. I hope not because if so, that will be embarrassing jajajaj. Wow Andy and Tony are super pilas! Great job with 2 medals. Jajajaj Andy is gonna have some records there in Elkhart High School for cross country. Things are going great here in Guatemala. Our investigators are progressing quite well. We have Gerardi, familia Baten, and Alejandro Lux as progressing investigators. They are pilas investigators. They have a lot of questions and that is awesome because that is why we are they. We are there to help them understand! They are understanding and it is super great to be able to help them. No, we didn't have a baptism this past Saturday. She ahs to get married first and then she will get baptized. I am talking about Maria Elena. She is positive but she hasn't attended church in 3 weeks because she is taking care of some business with her suegros.

Thanks the photos. The family looks great. All is going super well here in Momos. I am enjoying it quite a lot. The investigators we ahve are doing well. They are learning a lot. We had some really great and powerful lessons this week. Those lessons were definetely guided by the Spirit. There is no question. My comp also felt the Spirit and so did the investigators. It was a journal worthy week. No, it is not raining here. There is just a lot of dust but that is no problems because I can handle it. My shirts can't though becuase I can wear the shirt for like 2 days before it is yellow from all the dust that the wind kicks up. But oh well. It is a great experience. And okay mother, I will get you that list to you by next week. I have been working on it but I forgot it at the house. 

Jajajaj I don't remember it all but I will have the list with me next week. And when do you wanna go to Mexico? I didn't take any pictures this week. I will this week. I promise that I'll take 15 pictures. Well I love and miss yall!

Hi sorry I can't write a lot today. We played soccer as a zone and we finished that and eating at like 3:30. It is 4:20 as I right you this right now. But this was a great week. I love the Guatemalan dream. It is some fun stuff! The person who spoke about mothers was Jeffrey R. Holland. Yeah, that was one of my favorites. It was a super great talk. I love the talks that he gives. They are always so powerful and straight to the point. It was also super cool to see the new 3 apostles be called. I will give yall a scripture next week since I can't think of one right now. And I only have limited time before my flete leaves to go to my area. Jajajaj I don't wanna miss it because then it will be like a 4 hour walk to our area up and down the mountains. My area is super cool! I love it. The members are pilas and we are working super hard. We are working on getting people to progress right now. We have a member that goes on visits with us because I can't speak quiche. Neither can my comp. So they help us out a lot.

Hola Familias Chicas y Perez!Jajajajajajaj ya tengo una semana de ser Tìo Billy! Woo-hoo!!! Pues todo està bien aquì en Momos. Las montañas son chileras u los perros no son un problema. Yo siempre cargo piedras y una onda conmigo pero los perros no hacen nada. Ellos saben que yo ando con onda. Ellos no quieren problemas conmigo jajajaj. Gracias por las fotos de kate. Ella se mire tan tranquila y bonita. En 10 meses yo voy a poder tener ella en mis brazos. Ella es chiquitita jajaj. 

Well I am now switching over to english. Everything is going well. here. A veces I am tired but there is only one thingI can do. That is, "Get untired" jajajaj. There is no time to be tired. There's no time for that because my time as a missionary is flying away. Like yall said, I am already about to complete 15 months. I can't believe it. But that`s how time is. It doesn't wait for anyone. The investigators are doing great also. We had a super great lesson yesterday with an investigator that is progressing. She accepted a fecha for the 17 of October. That is Alex's birthday. I hope she can get baptized that day. The weather here is SUPER HUMID! Jajajaj just like home. Except instead of me being in the AC watching Batman, I am in the heat walking up and down a mountain jajajajajajajajaj. But I still love walking up and down those mountains. 

I didn't take pictures this week because it has been raining...a lot. One day I accidentally put my camera on my desk and didn't put it back into my backpack. I am super glad that I didn't take it with me though. That day I got SUPER SUPER SUPER SOAKED! My scriptures got wet but the cases I have on them protected them. So I was glad that I didn't take the cases off because I was about to do it that same day. If I would've done that then my scriptures would've been destroyed. I now keep 2 bags in my backpack for when it starts to rain. Jajajaj the life of a Guatemalan missionary is hard but it is is SO MUCH FUN! ¡¡¡VIVE GUATEMALA!!!

Hey!

I am doing great. We are gonna have a baptism next week but I have changes so I won't be able to see it. But oh well. The mission is like that sometimes. I just glad that the investigator is gonna get baptized. Yeah, so next week I will tell yall where I will be. Jajajaj I am sad to have changes but I am also ready to get to work somewhere else. Hey! I am doing really great!!! The investigators that we have attended church yesterday. It makes me happy to see when the investigators show up. Yeah, my patience is still improving. It has improved a lot since I left Texas jajajaj. It's good to know what's going on back home. I am glad that Andy and dad get to go the seminary. That is awesome! I loved seminary. Sister Holland is a super awesome teacher!!! Wow I really can't wait to be an uncle. I want pics as soon as they are able to be taken. Thanks for the videos mother. They were pretty cool! Well this was a great week. And I am always glad to know what is going on with yall. Yes I know, this next year will be full of great milestones in our family. Jajajaj but don't worry, I will be with yall for next Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The investigators we have are having problems with coming to church. They are really pilas in talking and understanding. The only things que les hace falta is asistir al church. Other than that they are doing fine.  And yes, I still wanna study advertisement. This week we went to the temple and it was really great! I love going to the temple. It is always the best experience. I love and miss you too!

Hola,

Pues como siempre, estoy muy bien! Trabajando y sudando también. Pero me gusta porque estoy trabajando y sudando como un Elder. Ya tengo mas de un año. No lo puedo creer. Todavía me siento como si ayer salí del CCM. Pero por eso mi compañero y yo estamos trabajando aunque los perros son mala ondas con nosotros jajajaj. Tenemos 7 investigadores que están progresando y 3 con fechas bautismales. Los investigadores con fechas son Marina, Wendy, y Erick. Ellos siempre están aprendiendo algo nuevo cuando les enseñamos. Entonces si, estamos haciendo todo que debemos hacer. 

Y jajajaj, los patojos ahora si están empezando con la escuela. Entonces, durmiendo hasta las 10 ya no se puede hacer. Pero ojala que disfrutam el tiempo y el trabajo que están haciendo. 

WOW!!! Entre un mes yo voy a ser un tío! Woo-hoo! Pero si me gusta ese nombre. Es calidad. Y si, enseña a Kate mis fotos para que cuando vengo, no llora cuando me ve jajajaj. Si es cierto, ella tendrá como 9 meses cuando regreso a casa. 

Wow mamá! Calidad que fue llamada para ser líder con las mujeres jovenes. Pues, haga todo lo posible para ayudarles y animarles de ser miembros de esta iglesia. Y quienes son las otras lideres con usted?

I am doing great! I feel great and I love the mission! Wow it is great to see the little boys work for once jajaj. And yes make them work on their español. It will help them a lot. Who knows, they might even go on a mission to a Spanish speaking area. Jajajaj I will laugh. And mother, I know how it is to be missing yall. I haven't seen yall in over a year. I am always praying for yall! We are woking as hard as we can to have as much exito as we can. We have another baptismal date for the 15 of August so hopefully we can continue helping Erick to meet that date. Have fun in Mexico and know that I love yall!

Well this was a great week. Yes the investigators we have are still planning on getting baptized for the date that we set. I am so glad that they are learning so much. The people here of Guatemala are so humble and kind. We hace 4 people that are getting ready to enter the waters of baptism. Their names are Marina, Wendy, Santiago, an Gabriel. Marina is the mother of Wendy. Santiago and Gabriel are 2 young men who are chill. The first time I met them, I thought they were little troublemakers. Well I was right..jajjaa.. but they are really positive. They are really cool when we pass by. We challenged them to be baptized and they accepted. So that is awesome! This week I have been going through water like the iPhone goes through its battery. So that means fast. We are drinking so much agua. We are gonna have to buy 2 five gallon jugs to last us the week jajajaj. It is quite hot. On Thursday, I completed my year here in the mission. I can't believe how fast the time haas gone by. It is crazy! But I have enjoyed each moment so far. It is great! It is also great to hear that the little boys went to youth conference. Hopefully, they enjoyed it. And yeah last week Andy told me that they were going to scout camp at Clements. I love that scout ranch. It is so much fun. And I hope yall have a lot of fun at Hurricane Harbor. I love it there. But Six Flags is just as great. I love the roller coasters. Well that's all I have for today. I hope that yall have a super great week. I love and miss yall!!!

Hola  

Pues me da una alegría a poder estar aquí otra vez para escribirles. Estoy alegre que pasaron un buen día de independencia. Jajajaj mi compa y yo también celebramos. Tuvimos cuetes y una pizza! Jajajaj no fue mucho pero todavía nos divertimos. Y si, en un año voy a estar en sus brazos otra vez. Jajajaj no lo pudeo creer pero así es. Esta semana era calidad. Trabajábamos duro porque, como usted me dijo, no ay tiempo por Mickey Mouse. El está en Florida y yo estoy en Guatemala. Hay un mar entre nosotros. Entonces siempre estoy trabajando duro. Me gusta trabajar. Yo se que antes de la misión, yo fui mas o menos. Pero ahora necesito ser pilas. Yo estoy trabajando para traer almas nuevamente a nuestro Padre Celestial. Hemos estado trabajando mucho con los miembros porque son calidad. Tenemos 3 fechas bautismales para el fin de este mes. Esas personas se llaman Marina, Wendy, y Kenny. Será calidad si orarán por ellos. Ojala que se bauticen. Los amo y extraño.

Dear Family,

This has been a great week. I received a new companion. I am now on my 11th comp and I just have 11.5 months. Jajajaj I promise that I am not being bad. I am just blessed to have many comps to learn from. So my new comp is another gringo. He is Elder Harrison. He is from Utah. El es de la fabrica. But he is cool cause he was born in Texas. So at least he was born in a great state. This week was hard. We didn´t have many lessons cause everyone was on vacation so they all went to pasear por allí jajajaj. But yeah we did what we could. We contacted a lot this week. We are trying to find new people to teach. So not much has happened besides that. And I am sad to say that I didn´t take any pics this week. I failed at the pics this week. I am sorry. But yeah I hopé that yall are doing great! I love and miss yall!

Dear Family,

I haven´t written an email in a while. Yes , I know that I have been slacking. And I know that i also haven´t been sending a lot of pictures but now I have quite a lot to send. 

And I forgot to mention that I got my backpack today! Thank you!!!!! I was craving some chocolate. 

So yeah this was a great week. We finished hard since it is my comp´s last P-Day today. So we did everything we could. So tomorrow I will receive my 11th comp in just 11.5 months jajaj. But we will keep working too. So yeah let me explain there pictures. The picture when I am in corte is when we were visiting a less active member. Her name is Evelin. She is a nice sister but the reason she doen´t come to church is because of work. So we are gonna help her. Then a sister made us pupusas. Oh they were super good! The sister is from El Salvador, where they make las mera pupusas jajajaj. They were good but grandma can make better. Then I bought a jersey. It is pretty cool. Then Elder Young and I are at the table cause a member gave us paches to eat. So we ate them and man were there great! Then I tested my shoe polishing skills and they are really good. But Guatemalans just have that special touch that is even better. I am one half chapín so that is my excuse jajajaj. Then I pulled out the red card on the referee. Yeah, I am the one in charge now. That ref is a member of the church. He is actually from a different ward but he comes down to our area to be a ref. Then we went with a member family because my comp is leaving and they wanted to give him a little goodbye fiesta. So they made us paches. Right there in the pics are Anderson, Antolina, Elde Young, y también yo. So yeah they you go. And in this last pic is Beken and Rosa with me. They just got married and they are also gonna have a baby. I love them so much! They were always buena onda. Rosa was an investigator. But she got baptized. I wasn´t able to go to the baptism cause I live an hour away from Ixta, my last area. But they plan on staying active and they invited me to go to the temple with them when she completes a year of being a member. Oh I am so excited! Well yeah that was my week. I love and miss yall!
